halloween horror nights

I have never been so scared! I had to spend the entire night looking behind me to make sure no one was coming to scare me. As soon as you step foot into Universal Studios you feel a cold sensation run down your spine. "Scare zones" are around the park. The areas are filled with smoke machines. Masked people creep around every corner awaiting their victims. The worst part of the night is when a man with a pumpkin head swung a hook at me. Then when i turned around another pumpkin head was pointing a machette at my face. The two pumpkin heads then cornered me and scared me to death. I then sprinted out of the "scare zone." Overall, it was a fun night. It is funny to see people run away in fear but it stinks to be the one running.

car thieves

After class i got into my car and turned the key in the ignition. To my surprise, my Toyota 4runner sounded like a muscle car. After speaking to my dad about the car I decided to drive it home and hope that everything was fine. After I got home I drove my car to the mechanics. To my surprise the mechanic told me that someone cut off my catalytic converter. The converter helps take the fumes of the car to the muffler. So while I was in class some guys went under my car with a laser saw and cut off this piece in the Miami Dade parking lot. The mechanic told me this was happening alot in Doral and it usually happens to S.U.V. 's because thay arre high off the ground. So be careful where you park your cars in school

identity

I think a person's choices makes their identity. Sure who someine hangs out with can help shape their identity but at the end of the day we make our own choices. Identities can also change throughout your life. People may look at me and think i am preppy by the way I dress but I could be a ghetto wanna be thug.

Miami Heat Rookie Michael Beasley

With the second pick of the 2008 NBA draft the Miami Heat selected Kansas State foward Michael Beasley. There was uncertainty on who would go number 1 to Chicago but in the end they went with Derrick Rose from Memphis leaving the Heat with a no brainer to select Beasley. He had one of the best freshman seasons in college basketball history, topping Kevin Durant's from Texas. In Summer League play Beasley was a star, scoring and rebounding exeptionally well. Many doubt his character and his size as a power foward, but he will emerge as a superstar in this league. He has great wing span, so the height isn't an issue. Beasley will play the three and four positions this year for Miami. Expect to see him have an immediate impact and give Greg Oden a run for his money in his first NBA season. He was the best player from this years draft and will definetely prove himself as a future allstar.

Miami vs. Florida football game

Miami vs. Florida is this weekend! I have been waiting all summer for this game. I am sick and tired of hearing how Tim Tebow is a god! Yeah, he is a great player but everyone thinks he is the greatest thing in the world. I believe that Miami can shut him down. We have a good defense and our offense isn't bad either. Yes, the offense is inexperienced but we do have talent. The Miami offensive line is experienced and we have two tremendous running backs in Greg Cooper and Javarris James. If Miami can run the ball effectively, the defense contains Tim Tebow, and Robert Marve keeps his composure and manages the game well, Miami will leave "The Swamp" with a win.
